SCHENGEN VISA

(up to 90 days - Type C)

Venezuelan citizens traveling to Europe (Schengen countries*) for short stays of up to 90 days per 180 days for tourism, business, study, missions, or sports competitions, DO NOT need to apply for a Schengen Visa at the Consulate.

(*)Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

 

 

The Immigration Service at the first arrival airport in one of the Schengen countries can verify if the traveler meets the entry conditions to the Schengen area (*) and may therefore require:

✔ Return ticket.
✔ Reasons and duration of the trip.
✔ Demonstration of sufficient economic means to cover the entire stay.
✔ Hotel reservations or accommodation guarantees.

To obtain accommodation guarantees (also known as an “Invitation Letter”) from a legally resident citizen in Italy, you can consult the relevant Consulate in your country.

NATIONAL VISA

(Over 90 days and up to 365 - Type D)

The National Visa (NV) allows entry into Italy for long stays exceeding 90 days and up to 365 days for purposes of travel specifically established by Italian law.

All non-European Union nationalities are required to apply for the National Visa. Once in Italy, the holder of a Long Stay Visa must compulsorily apply for the “Permesso di Soggiorno” (Residence Permit) at the Questura within a maximum of 8 days after their arrival in Italy.

TOURIST VISA

FOR "FRIENDS/FAMILY VISIT"

All citizens subject to the obligation of obtaining a Schengen visa (for stays up to 90 days) are informed that a new subcategory of visa called “TOURISM-VISIT TO FRIENDS/FAMILY” has been established.
